This portfolio concludes my Masters in Public Administration with a compilation of work completed over the past three years. The artifacts included here exemplify the five core competencies and I invite you to explore my website. I look forward to applying what I've learned to hone my skills at the nonprofit organizations I have the privilege to serve.

About Me

Corporate Work Experience

I had a long and successful career in the insurance industry for 35 years before retiring in 2021. I was an actuary for consulting companies as well as an underwriter based out of Bermuda for 18 months. My last position was Chief Underwriting Officer of a U.S. subsidiary of a Lloyds of London company.

A few years ago, I turned my attention towards using my skills and knowledge in more socially meaningful ways. I work with a number of nonprofit organizations and plan on expanding my roles in areas of research and policy design.

My Concentration:

Public and Nonprofit Performance Management

Because of my mathematical background, I gravitated heavily towards electives that focused on data and scientific approaches to solve social issues. My Masters in Public Administration will have a concentration in performance management. The three electives taken in this area are outlined below.
